With thin films, where an extremely sensitive pressure control of the arms is needed, the rewinding stations remain vertical, while a high sensitivity pneumatic cylinder pushes the lever against the central drum with a fixed pressure during the whole rewinding process. With heavy films or laminates, as the rewinding reel grows in diameter, the angle of the arms with the drum increases in order to release the weight of the reel on the central drum and control the pressure more efficiently.
