A multi functional embossing machine for producing embossed paper comprises a base body, which supports a first embossing assembly which works related to a second embossing assembly. The machine has a top body which supports the second embossing in a position corresponding to the first embossing assembly, said top body being connected to the bottom body via a supporting and actuating element designed to support at least part of the weight of the top body during process of the embossing machine and to allow the bottom body and the top body to be moved apart from one another in a circumstances of danger.
